3 Worst Exercise Mistakes that
Slow Your Metabolism and Age You Faster...
By Dr. Jade Teta, Metabolic Expert and Author of Metabolic Aftershock
Which of the following exercises helps optimize
your metabolism to burn fat the best?
- CrossFit
- Hot yoga
- Kettlebells
- Spin classes, jogging or other cardio
- High intensity interval training...
Shockingly, the answer is:
None of the above!
That's because most people commit 3 serious metabolism-damaging mistakes…
... mistakes that age you pre-maturely, drain your energy and make you fatter!
Exactly the opposite of what you want from a good workout.
I know this first hand because I’ve spent the past 15 years helping thousands of clients in my private practice fix the damage these mistakes have done to their metabolism.
Worse, these 3 mistakes create a firestorm of inflammation that spreads through your tissues, skyrocketing your risk for diseases like diabetes1, heart disease2 and Alzheimer's3.
So please, stop making the 3 exercise mistakes below... before it's too late.
(Tip: Try the “smart” alternative: a super-efficient 15-minute workout customized to your metabolic type that burns off body fat in just 3 workouts a week. More on that below...)
Worst Exercise Mistake #1: This Adds Belly Fat...

To burn more belly fat, just work out longer, right?
Wrong!
The latest research shows shorter workouts may be ideal for burning off the most abdominal fat in the least amount of time.4
That's because the right type of short workout can flood your body with two powerful fat burning hormones: adrenaline and noradrenaline.5
Belly fat is extremely sensitive to these two hormones,6 so you may be able to actually see the results relatively quickly if you do these short workouts correctly.
WARNING: Longer workouts don’t release nearly as much of these two fat burning hormones. Plus, they can drive up your appetite7 and may actually lead to more body fat.8
Instead, I recommend short, super-efficient, "smart" workouts that are customized to your own specific metabolic type – perfect for those of us who are short on time.
More on that in a minute.
