More TV Time, Lower Sperm Counts

Researchers have identified two possible factors that may have great impact on the sperm count of men.  The study revealed that men who are physically active and watched TV the least have higher sperm counts versus those who spent more time watching TV. BPA Increases Risk of Obesity in Children and Teens

Researchers at NYU School of Medicine discovered that there is more to childhood obesity than poor diet and lack of exercise, adding that environmental factors may play a role, too. Vitamins and Minerals for Healthy Sperms

Scientists at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory report that consuming a diet that contains high amounts of certain vitamins and minerals is associated with improved DNA quality in the sperms of older men. The study, published online in the journal Fertility and Sterility, involved 80 healthy men, aged 22 to 80, and showed that those who were older than 44 and consumed the most “micronutrients” like vitamin C, vitamin E, zinc and folate had 20%  less DNA damage in their sperm compared to those who consumed the lowest amounts.
